Is your home too small for your needs? Not a question you ask yourself too often but Furniture Village, the national retain chain has done just that.
A recently commissioned survey by homeware chain, Furniture Village have found that OVER A THIRD of us Brits think our home is too small for our every day needs, not only that but it could also be affecting our mental wellbeing.
Of the 2,000 adults that were questioned whom either rent or own a property, more than half were worried that lack of living space is a major contributor to their moods whilst four in ten of us feel the house we currently occupy is smaller than that they grew up in.
Children sharing a bedroom with their sibling reached one in ten whilst more an eighth of people in The Capital slept in the same room as a friend or family member.
Whilst a staggering 30% thought they didn't have enough living space to have children.
The main culprit for these results was the kitchen area which most considered inadequate in size followed by the bathroom and finally the master bedroom.
More than a quarter of those questioned would like a more spacious bathroom, garden and more storage space.
